Staff
Responsibilities:
-
Delivers Kris Kringle letters to campers
-
Coordinates meal-mixers
-
Follows directions of Design Team as needed
-
Participates in delegate activities when not assigned staff-related task
-
Helps set up/take down rooms
-
Assists in activities and preparations
-
Supports activity and worship leaders
-
Leads evening devotion and nightly cabin sharing
-
Builds positive, personal relationships with cabin-mates throughout camp
-
Makes sure cabin is awake and prompt for breakfast or other activities, and obeying lights out
-
Coordinates/facilitates Olympic-Groups and Olympic-Group Games
-
Has attended training and is knowledgeable in UMC Safe Church Policy
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Is (at minimum) 18 years old at the time of Christmas Institute
-
Can successful get background checked for UMC Safe Church Policy
-
Has attended at least two previous C.I.'s (or something similar)
-
Knowledgeable in connecting equipment (or willingness to learn)
-
Has maintained a positive image with peers and exhibits leadership potential
-
Intends to commit of being C.I. staff or leader in the near future
-
Able to create/enforce/model ground rules
-
Able to mediate conflict

Counselor
Design-Team
Responsibilities:
-
Builds positive, personal relationships with campers, staff, counselors and support-staff before, throughout and after camp
-
Supports camp activity and fellow leaders, as needed
-
Has attended training and is very knowledgeable in UMC Safe Church Policy
-
Helps set up/take down rooms
-
Assists in & creates necessary activities and preparations for C.I.
-
Creates/designs every aspect of Christmas Institute well enough to teach and prepare other leaders
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Is (at minimum) 21 years old at the time of Christmas Institute
-
Can successful get background checked for UMC Safe Church Policy
-
Has attended at least four previous CI's (or something similar)
-
had (at least) 1 year as a camper (or something similar)
-
had (at least) 1 year as a staffer
-
had (at least) 2 years as a counselor

Experience in leading groups and people

Intends to commit (at least) 3 years of being C.I. Design-Team leader
